The rules written here are meant to facilitate the smooth progression of the competition and help players and administrators resolve conflicts. The most important principle is that teams and players attempt, to the best of their abilities, to play and finish their matches regardless of what happens.
An infraction of the rules (breaking them) may cause a team to forfeit a game – take an automatic loss. Severe infractions of these rules may lead to a disqualification from the competition.
QUICK RULES
• Every participant must be citizen, or be resident for at least 6 months, of the country (Belgium) in which the Red Bull Solo Q tournament is held.
• The tournament is played as a 1v1 on the top lane of “Summoner’s Rift”. Matches in the online qualifier are best of 1-games until there are 16 players left in the bracket. Starting from top 16 all matches are best of-3 games, which is reported after each whole match is completed.
• Everyone may participate in each of the qualifiers in the Qualifier Stage. An unlimited number of participants can sign up to each qualifier – then the first 1024 participants to check-in starting 60 minutes before each qualifier will be eligible to play
• Every participant should take screenshots of their win. In case both participants are sending in different match results you are required to provide proof of your victory
• The top 4 of every qualifier advances to the Red Bull Solo Q Belgium Finals, the bracket will be played out to determine seeding.
• The winner of the Red Bull Solo Q Belgium Finals, advances to the international regional finals, where you can qualify for the Global Final!
• Bans must be written in the game lobby. See point "7. Before the Match", under Bans for more information
Tournament
Tournament “Red Bull Solo Q” is an open to all League of Legends community tournament, which is played as a 1v1 on the top lane of the map “Summoner’s Rift”. This rulebook is relevant for the International Qualifierstage of the tournament.
Administration
• Everybody who is authorized by Red Bull to administer the Red Bull Solo Q tournament based on its rules and regulations will be called an “admin” in the following, the collection of all admins will be called the “administration”.
The interpretation of any rule and its consequences and execution are at the sole discretion of the administration
Participants and Commitment
Only real persons with a valid League of Legends Account can participate in the Red Bull Solo Q tournament and will be called “participant” in the following. Additionally, every participant must fulfill the following conditions:
• Participants must be at least 16 years old when playing in the tournament.
• Participants must be citizens, or residents for at least 6 months of the country in the respective region.
• Participants must hold valid travel documents.
• Participants must not be listed in Riot’s League of Legends Esports League-Recognized Contract Database.

• By participating in the Red Bull Solo Q participants acknowledge without limitation to comply with the rules and regulations and with the statements and decisions made by the administration.
• Every participant acknowledges the right for the administration to modify the rules and regulations for adjustments at any time without notice and if necessary, overrule those to ensure fair play and integrity throughout each tournament.
• Every participant must show the needed respect towards admins and other participants. Insults and unfair or disrespectful behaviour towards anyone is not tolerated and will be punished.
• Every participant must always have the newest version of League of Legends installed and must check for updates in time before each match. Unless a new version comes out right before the match, patching is not a valid reason to delay it.
• Every participant must be registered on RIV4L and have their correct League of Legends Account entered.
• Every participant must try to win every round at every stage of the Red Bull Solo Q tournament. Purposely losing for any reason is strictly forbidden.
• Vulgar, racist, sexist, or otherwise offensive participant names are forbidden
• Every participant acknowledges the right for the administration to edit participants’ names if they are deemed unfit for display
• Every participant in the Red Bull Solo Q tournament consents to the collected footage of photo- and audio material displaying or voicing them during the tournament to be stored and used for announcements, website content, and other publications by Red Bull unrestricted and unlimited in terms of time and place.
Communication
All communication between participants and the administration must be held in English at any time and at any stage of the Red Bull Solo Q qualifier tournament.
The administration may be only contacted via the official support Discord server or via the on-platform support system. This helps admins to coordinate as a team and work faster on issues than with the help of other platforms. Any other form of communication may be ignored.
Tournament Format
The Red Bull Solo Q tournament is separated into the Country Qualifier Stage, International Online Qualifiers, and the World Final.
Signup & Check in
An unlimited number of participants can sign up to each qualifier. The first 1024 participants who check-in will be eligible to play. The check-in always starts 60 minutes before the scheduled start of the respective qualifier.
Schedule
Schedules for the qualifiers’ time slots will always be posted by the administrators on the official support Discord server. The international qualifiers are split up into two playing days where there is a qualifying stage and a playoffs stage.
Tournament Restriction
Each participant may participate in all international qualifiers appropriate for their region. If a participant wins a qualifier, they are not permitted to play any other upcoming qualifier within the Qualifier Stage.
Players who are already qualified for the World Final may not participate in other national or International Online Qualifiers.
Match Times
The first round of each qualifier is visible on each tournament overview page.
In case the number of participants changes, the bracket and match times will be adjusted accordingly and announced on the tournament pages.
If at least one participant of a match has not yet been determined at the official match time due to a delay in a previous round, the match time will be adjusted accordingly.
Rescheduling / Postponing
Participants cannot postpone or reschedule matches to another date or time without the consent of the administration.
Punctuality
If one participant is not ready to start a match 15 minutes after the official match time, this participant loses the match by default.
If a participant does not join the match in time as described above, the opponent may claim a default win by writing to the support staff via the official support Discord server. Each participant is obliged to attach necessary evidence to the claim, which is then to be approved of by an admin. Admins may extend the punctuality deadline in exceptional circumstances to get the match played.
Match Format
Matches are played as best of 1-games until there are 16 players left in the bracket. Starting from top 16 all matches are best of-3 games, with only the final score of the matches reported at the end of the series.
Example: 1-0 or 0-1 (before top 16), 2-0 or 0-2 or 2-1 or 1-2 (starting from top 16).
Before the Match
All participants must be available in League of Legends and on the tournament website if they are actively participating.
Contacting the Opponent
Participants communicate via the match chat that appears on Discord.
Game Mode
Each 1v1 must be played in a Custom Lobby with the following settings:
• Map: Summoner’s Rift
• Team Size: 1
• Name: Red Bull Solo Q – “Participant A” vs. “Participant B”
• Password: Choose a password and share it with your opponent via the tournament platform
• Game Type: Blind Pick
• Allow Spectators: Lobby Only
• Format: BO1 until top 16; BO3 starting from top 16
• Side selection: Side selection will be decided by a coin toss.
If the match is a series of multiple games, the players have to swap their side in each following game.
Bans
Both participants must write up to three bans in the lobby.
The Ban order is the following:
• Blue side – 1st ban
• Red side – 2nd & 3rd ban
• Blue side – 4th & 5th ban
• Red side – 6th ban
Bans must be written in the pre-game lobby chat before the game starts. (Take a screenshot in case of a dispute)
Win Condition
Each match is decided by a list of win conditions as described in the following:
• First blood.
• First player to reach a creep score of 100 (100 CS)
• First player to destroy a turret.
A match is decided in the following cases:
A: One of the win conditions is fulfilled
B: An admin declared a winner of the match
Match Area
It is not allowed to attack minions which belong to other lanes than the top lane nor creeps which belong in the jungle. This also includes honey fruits, blast cones, scuttlecrabs, etc.
Disconnects
If a participant disconnects during the champion selection, the lobby must be recreated. As soon as the loading screen appears the match will count and must be continued.
Bug Abuse
Abusing a bug is strictly forbidden
Cheating
The usage of any tool which manipulates the game is strictly forbidden.
Reporting the score
Each participant of the Online Qualifier must report the correct result of the respective tournament page in the "Results" tab. Both players must report the correct result for the match to proceed automatically.
The winner is responsible for ensuring proof of their victory exists (screenshots/video).
Please upload screenshots when reporting the score to speed up confirmation processes. If only one participant reports the score, the administrative team will examine the proof and resolve the match.
Protests
Protests regarding a match must be filed via the official support Discord server immediately in the appropriate support channel for your region. If you have proof that your opponent has broken the rules you must leave the lobby and inform the administrative team immediately. The protest must contain all necessary evidence (screenshots, replay, etc.). If no sufficient evidence is provided the protest will be discarded.
Possible Punishments
The punishment for any rule violation includes but is not limited to:
• Disqualification from the qualifier
• Disqualification from the tournament series
• Disqualification from future tournaments
Rule violation in other Tournaments
Red Bull reserves its right to punish participants for heavy rule violations in external League of Legends tournaments.
Country Qualifiers
The prizes of each country qualifier final are as follows:
• 1 qualification slot to the International Online Qualifiers

International Online Qualifiers
The first placed participant of each International Qualifier (10 x total) will receive a direct invite to the World Finals.
